Full Livery

Full Livery package includes full basic care of the horse AM and PM, 7 days of the week.

Included within the livery package:

– AM duties- Give breakfast feed Feed, rug change (rug choice to be decided by the owner and left in an accessible place), pick out feet, turnout and check water supply, skip out and tidy bed (Monday and Fridays- full muckout, wet removed and fresh bedding in if required), refresh stable water, make night haynet and feeds.

– PM duties- Bring in (Lunch time during the winter months)/ skip out if stabled, pick out feet, give haynet and dinner feed, rug up for night (rug choice to be decided by the owner and left in an accessible place). Legs/feet will not be washed off as part of the livery package when brought in during the muddy months. A hoof ointment/spray may be applied as part of the package during summer months.

– Hay and bedding are provided but not included within the Livery package cost. ‘Sorbeo’ pellet bedding is the current bedding used for Full livery horses- if you wish to use an alternative bedding please discuss with the yard manager- alternative bedding will need to be sourced and provided by the owner. Hay is priced per KG, horses can have as much as required.

-If your horse requires haylage you will need to source and provide this in small sealed bags, labelled with your horses name.

– Access to all of our facilities at no extra charge- XC course (subject to weather conditions), All weather arena surfaced 25X45M. Grass schooling/ Jumping paddock (subject to weather conditions).

– Grass turnout all year round- limited to half days in winter (AM turnout) and there may be in days due to ground conditions, field maintenance and large event days. Individual and group options- fields are poo picked regularly and poisonous plants removed.

– Lorry parking is available on a first come first serve basis for £25 PCM.

-We pride ourselves on being a flexible and tailored livery service, we can usually accommodate any extra requirements outside of what’s listed above- however anything required outside of that list will be charged extra.

– Concentrate feeds are not included within the package, these are to be specified by the horse owner. We can order feed from our local supplier and add the cost to your monthly bill- if our supplier does not provide the feed you require you will need to source and provide this and keep tabs on your own stock levels.

– External practitioners- We have a number of regular practitioners, that we are happy to provide contact details for, however booking and attendance for these are the horse owners responsibility unless agreed otherwise with managers of Castle Farm Livery and XC.
